Northern Guilford High School is proud to announce the launch of the NGHS Athletics Hall of Fame. We opened our doors in 2008 and now 15 years later we are excited to enshrine those athletes, coaches and community members who help tell the story of Northern Guilford Athletics, into our Hall of Fame. In less than 20 years, Northern has earned 10 Team State Titles, several Individual State Titles and countless other local and state honors.

Each year the nomination window will open and our HOF committee will evaluate the list of nominees. Once they have decided on the class for the year, the HOF committee will call the athlete/coach/ community member to inform them that will be inducted into the HOF. If a nominee is NOT selected for that year, there nomination will stay in circulation and will be reevaluated the following year. 

Below is the link to the nomination form. Please read the directions carefully before nominating.

1. Each HOF Nominee must be nominated by someone other than themselves.

2. Below are the qualifications for being nominated. If a nominee doesn't meet these qualifications their nomination will not be considered.  

Qualifications

ATHLETE

★ NGHS graduate for at least 5 years

★ Minimum of two varsity letters in one sport

★ Earn at least 1st Team All Conference or All District/All Area/All State, and/ or All American recognition

★ Special consideration shall be given for record setting or state championship performance

TEAM

★ Any NGHS team who won a team state championship, including all players, coaches, team personnel

★ Other teams shall be considered who have earned special recognition through record setting performances as well as All District/All Area/All State recognition

COACH

★ Former NGHS head or assistant coach

★ Must have completed their tenure from NGHS for a minimum of five years unless special circumstances warrant otherwise

★ Must have made outstanding contributions to the athletic program during his/her tenure

 ★ Other factors shall be considered for coaches whose teams earned multiple league titles or District/Regional/State recognition.

 SPECIAL NOMINEE

★ May include any NGHS staff whose tenure was completed for a minimum of five eyes, unless special circumstances warrant otherwise

★ Athletic booster, community member, or business having made significant contributions to the athletic program over an extended period of time

 ★ Nominations shall be considered on a case by case basis with no more than one selection per Hall of Fame year

3. Once the nomination form is submitted it will be reviewed and filed with the HOF committee. All new members will be notified via phone of their induction. 

4. RSVP information will be mailed to Inductees home a few months leading up to HOF induction. It will be due back no later than a month from the event.
